This book tackles some mysterious lore about the powers of Kuan Yin and her role in modern China. Sarah enters into the mystery with her eyes and heart wide open, and with a simplicity that only a clear mind can capture. She is hilarious and human and quite endearing. This makes a great gift for those involved in traditional Chinese medicine or for seekers looking for a mindful read that is not to head-y. I am really, really enjoying this book.

I really enjoyed this book. If you have ever searched for something elusive, it provides an unfolding template of that journey. Truman's writing is personal, vulnerable, and transporting. I loved immersing into China each time I opened this quick, rich read.
