A wonderful balance of intrigue, romance, hope and faith,
By A Customer
This review is from: Searching for Stardust (Palisades Pure Romance) (Paperback)
Lorena McCourtney just gets better and better! This latest romance had it all. I read the last 50 or so pages very slowly because I didn't want the book to end. The main characters, Jan and Mark, were so real to me that I seemed to meld into the pages as I turned them. The clues left in their dead son's journal send them on a search for a girl named Stardust that is possibly pregnant with their only chance at having a Grandchild. The search, the personal enlightenment, the finding of lost love and faith took me on a wonderful journey that I will remember for a long long time. Please...READ THIS BOOK! You will LOVE IT!

A heartwarming romance, tenderly told, SEARCHING FOR STARDUST is a story of hope in the midst of heartache and disappointment. Ms. McCourtney has given readers another novel to treasure.--Robin Lee Hatcher, author of THE FORGIVING HOUR and WHISPERS FROM YESTERDAY

Would make excellent movie material,
This review is from: Searching for Stardust (Palisades Pure Romance) (Paperback)
This was a very quick read and realistically covered a lot of today's issues that people struggle with in their lives, such as suicide, abortion, materialism and unconditional love. Ms. McCourtney suceeds to engage her audience from start to finish. She especially enables male readers to see the complex issues of romance from a woman's perspective, without denigrating the male ego, but giving him a well deserved slap upside the head.
She also shows us how immature and selfish we can all be when we allow the quest for material things be our driving force and how low many people will go to acquire "things"...yet Ms. McCourtney does not point the finger or condemn those who fail in that part of life. In fact Searching For Stardust is full of life and would be an excellent story to be brought to the "big screen."

What a disappointment,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Searching for Stardust (Kindle Edition)
Waited patiently for another Lorena McCourtney book to appear on Amazon for my Kindle. Downloaded it last night and started to read it right away. Very disappointed not only in the story line ...but ALL of the Religious content which I felt was just a "little" too much. I am religious and I have read her 5 other kindle books but this one had way too much reference to the bible. Not much of a mystery when the average reader would know that her deceased son's girfriend "Stardust" whom they befriended, would end up to be everything but. What a waste of time not only in reading it but in the author's time spent in writing it.
