Spirited and impulsive Louise is in the final year of her art history degree. For her dissertation she intends to track down a lost painting - the Venus of Collioure - whose disappearance is one of the mysteries of the art world. She travels to France where she meets the dissolute artist Milo Charpentier and his commune of voluptuous models. Their lifestyle is one of pastoral bliss, sensual indulgence and lustful pleasure. Louise must juggle her search for the painting with a series of highly-charged erotic encounters with a number of dashing Frenchmen. Will she achieve her goal by the end of the summer?

Kept my attention!,

Although the writing wasn't the best and the plot a little thin, I couldn't put this book down! The scenes were pretty believeable and interesting. This was my first book in the Black Lace series, and I'm going to order more now.Enjoy!

Sex is the first priority with this book. The plot was decent, it didn't leave any holes or have you saying,"why did she have sex with him?" You understood why the Louise did the things she did. The sex was definitely first rate. "Searching for Venus" is the kind of book you want to read in a nice warm bath.

I loved this book - if the point of the Black Lace series is to turn you on - then Ella sure knows how to press my buttons! Set mainly in France, it is soooo sexy ... I only wish I was Louise, the heroine!!
