Or maybe it was "open says-a-me!"...oh well.

I installed this to work with my Sears Craftsman garage door opener (purple "learn" button model) and originally had some trouble determining what remotes will work with which doors. My research lead me to this model as it will support the newer models that do not use the slider jumper frequencies. This is for the type that has a code that changes each time. Apparently you can also tell a lot about the model of opener you have based on the color of the "learn" button as this was a key change with many series of openers.

Hope this helps someone else.

I thought this garage door remote didn't work with my opener. Following the included instructions, which differed from the instructions on my opener didn't get me anywhere. My husband instead ignored the instructions and was able to program it. Now it works perfectly; and is a nice looking unit.

I have an older Craftsman garage door opener (1994). It has a green 'learn' button on the back. There is a green LED light on the back near this button but you also need to pay attention to the light bulb on the front of the opener when programming this remote key pad. Here's what worked for me. Press the * & # key at the same time until the keypad stops flashing. Next, enter a 4-digit code and press enter. 3rd, press the green learn button on the opener. Now look for the light bulb (not LED) to flash then press 0 on the remote key pad to finalize the programming.

For our unit if you hold down the green learn button for 6 sec or more on the opener it clears all programming and you will have to reprogram all of your remotes.

Hope this helps someone. I was ready to return this unit but am happy that my husband got it working (he's the best)! I would give this product 5 stars if the instructions worked.

This took all of 2 minutes to use with our green learn button motor. It is the second one I've had to try.

Unit was not a Craftsman even though I ordered a Craftsman, and it didn't work with my Craftsman door opener.

First BS experience ordering from Amazon.

I bought this to replace a similar Craftsman compatible keypad opener that had stopped working reliably after 18 or so years. The 102.1499A Craftsman garage door opener/motor works well still so I didn't want to replace it with all new equipment.

This new keypad works perfectly. Programed per instructions (had to hit enter and hold after initial pin entry while motor unit was in learn mode) and it worked the first time. The old one would not close all the time when we hit the enter button, even with new batteries. I think internal corrosion got the best of it finally and transmission distance suffered. Now the door opens and closes perfectly again via the keypad.

I am a happy customer. Even came with a new 9 volt battery installed. I didn't expect that (maybe I missed that in the description).

The title clearly states this is Craftsman Assurelink COMPATIBLE Liftmaster brand keypad opener, not a Craftsman brand opener.

After a few tries, following the instructions, I was able to get it to work. I tried a few other "Universal" remotes and could not get them to work on my Sears Craftsman garage door opener. I've used it a few times since the initial installation and everything is working correctly. I would recommend this one if you have a Craftsman brand opener.

recently replaced a garage door opener unit at my mother-in-laws house. I had a spare one from 2003 laying around in my garage loft. The keypad that worked with the older unit would not work with the replacement opener. found this keypad that would be compatible with the opener. It was easy to program and it works great. It is a Liftmaster branded keypad made for craftsman door openers.

It works just fine, all I needed to do was link it to the opener using the learning button on my opener and done, then I also was able to re-link the build in buttons in both my cars and everything works great, The instructions were perfect and understandable even for a no-tech person like me.
