Dr. Al Sears, M.D. currently owns and operates a successful integrative medicine and anti-aging clinic in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. His cutting-edge therapies and reputation for solving some of the most difficult-to-diagnose cases attract patients from around the world.

As a graduate from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Sears graduated with honors in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Physical Medicine. Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
An excellent book for those into a high protein, high "good fats" type of diet. I particularly like the extensive "Glycemic Index" listing of many foods which gives one a wide choice. My regret is that when Dr. Sears recommends a product or a supplement, he often doesn't list just 3 or 4 choices that he has found acceptable in his practice, but refers to on-line source lists which often just leave me bewildered. The PACE exercise program is very intriguing. My hope is that there is a cookbook in the near future w/recipes for 2-4 people with just a few ingredients and easy to prepare.

Format: Paperback
At first, I thought this was another low carb book. If you've done Atkins or Sugar Busters, you saw it coming a mile away. But what makes the book different is that it is not strictly low carb/no carb. I like the application of glycemic load (this opens up the use of some carbs) and the return to a paleo based diet. I'm preparing to read the book again, then apply the principles to see how my body responds.
I've also learned a lot about modern day farm and food manufacturing processes. Even if you choose not to use this diet, hopefully you'll examine where your food comes from and what you're actually consuming.

READ THE BOOK FOLLOWED DR SEARS DIET AND LOST 42 POUNDS. FELT GREAT ALL THE WHILE. I LIKED IT BECAUSE IT WAS EASY TO FOLLOW. I EAT MOST VEGS, FRUITS, AND NUTS. I HAVE A PROTEIN MALTED EVERY MORNING WITH AN APPLE IN THE DRINK AND SOME PSYLLYIUM HUSKS.
PROTIEN IS THE BASIC FOOD..

Just about all of the information in this book can be found elsewhere. I e-mailed the organization on how to obtain a refund, but never got a reply. You are basically buying a pig in a poke.

The calipers that Dr. Sears recommends are of no use. The Doctors Eades' instructions in Protein Power are better, but a little more complicated. They pretty much agree with the impedence machine at my gym.

So, save your money.

Incredible information and very easy to understand. This book covers some of the most amazing information and some of the most important supplements your body needs along with the most important foods to lose weight and stay healthy.
