Excellent read!,
This review is from: Seas of Antrana, Book Two of the Erskan Trilogy (Paperback)
(Spoiler alert)
Someone explain to me how a man (McVey) could possibly get so far into the psyche of the female dominant? Book 2 "Seas of Antrana" turns the whole story a full 180 degrees and delivers a gut wrenching plot solely from a woman's point of view! The fate of Antrana takes an unexpected twist with the change in perspective to the dominant warrior woman Tural. Our anticipated hero, Alexi, is temporarily set into the background as Tural takes the lead as protagonist and heroine of war and sexual conquest in this heart pounding thriller of violence, mind bending engineering feats, and yet melting sensual treats that I've come to know as the world of Erska. Erskan sociology proves itself to be strikingly advanced while still maintaining an almost bewildering, yet strangely endearing innocence in the ways of modern warfare and technology, as proven by the knowledge thrust upon them by the otherworld men Alexi and the profoundly malevolent Corrigan. The author vividly conveys the intricate details of both familiar and futuristic designs, tools, and weaponry with a remarkable clarity, yet without losing his firm grasp on the main plot and intimate thoughts and feelings of the characters. And did I mention the sex? Mmmmm... it's an incredibly hot mix of pain vs. pleasure that this reader found quite delicious. Again, McVey has produced a believable novel of dominance and submission set into a gripping thriller of science fiction, fury, violence, and emotion. Bravo, McVey, bravo. I impatiently await Book 3.

I read the entire trilogy and found each to be well written, erotic, sexy and a thriller. There were many twists and turns that kept you on edge, while the sexy "premise" of a world where men were slaves made a 'can't put it down' read.

McVey does it again! This book rocked! Action, action, and more action. And then there are the sex scenes... HAWT. If you liked the first book, you are going to LOVE the second.
