I bought this wheel jack to replace a cheap one I bought from Harbor freight that
did not work out.
I use the wheel jack on a 10K trailer to run the trailer up to the hitch which is always on a concrete surface, as trying to back into a trailer tongue with a steak bed can be a bit touchy. I then load the trailer with my tractor after I have taken the load off of the trailer jacks.
I do not use the fold up option on these jacks as I have had nothing but bad luck
with mechanisms bending out; this may or may not have worked on this unit, but I
don't have the time to mess around with it, so the fold up stuff is dumped, and I
just weld it to a cross member in back of the front jack. This also gives me a bit
more height to stab the receiver.
This is a much better unit than what I had, and it is beefy where you need it, where the wheel is mounted. This is where you will run into problems if the metal is thin.
So far, so good.

It appears I cannot change the number of stars this item gets, but it should be four or five stars. The jack is fine. It is not a 4" wide wheel as Amazon originally had it listed. Listing is now correct. Wheel is 2" wide, 8" tall.
