Such a great power supply!

The volume of this unit's fan under load was on par with the sound from a microwave oven.

Great power supply, made by one of the best out there. Easily powers my i7 2700k overclocked, gtx 465 sli overclocked with ease. Wish the cables were longer and the braided kevlar is pretty tough to form and work with when working in smaller spaces. Semi Modular is nice, dont see the need for fully modular, doesnt matter what type of setup, will always need the basic 3 cables. Might be toughter to use on a Full Size case, would probably need extensions to reach power, mobo, drives unless mounted at top.

My previous power supply is the Seasonic M12 700 watt, the earlier version of this power supply before the "II" model. I was satisfied with the old model, but after a few years it developed a very faint buzz (capacitor?) after it's been on for a while. Based on Seasonic's excellent reputation, I decided to replace the old M12 with this updated M12ii to make my PC quieter.

I was slightly disappointed during installation that the modular cables have changed connectors with the upgraded model, so it wasn't "swap and re-connect" - instead I had to remove and replace every cable. Not a big deal though.

What WAS a big deal - after installing the new M12II-750 and running a stress test like Uningine's Heaven benchmark or Prime95, this power supply's fan kicked in during heavy load, and was very LOUD. Much louder than the older model, which was nearly silent except for the aforementioned slight buzz. The volume of this unit's fan under load was on par with the sound from a microwave oven.

I don't know if I got a bad unit or not, but this is unacceptable for a gaming PC which is often under heavy load. Thankfully Amazon has an excellent and easy return policy, so I put the old power supply back in my PC and returned this model.

The only good thing I can say about this power supply was it seemed to supply good and steady power, and it didn't have a buzz. Too bad about that fan.

Such a great power supply! I have it on a ASUS Maximus VI Hero, i5 4760k, EVGA gtx 770 And I have no issues at all. No coil whine, no outages. The PSU works perfectly. This brand will cost you a tad more, it's money well spent. Never ever cheap out on the PSU. You won't be dissapointed

I built a new rig (Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H, Intel Core i7 3770K, Corsair XMS3 Series 8GB DDR3-1600 ,Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 High Performance CPU Cooler, EVGA GTX550ti video card, Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Mid Tower ATX Computer Case) in July of 2012. The only item that was not new was an Antec 500w Earth Watts p/s (7 years old) that I pulled from my old tower. This setup worked flawlessly for right at 18 months but around Christmas, I started experiencing intermittent shut-down issues. Removed and checked voltages on the Antec. Although multimeter indicated acceptable values, it was on the bench with no load and the fan on the p/s was spinning very slowly. I suspect that the key here was that when placed under a load situation, the old Antec would show signs of it's age and its inherit power weakness. After a lot of research, decided on this Seasonic. Seems to be solidly built and actually quite heavy when compared to the old antec. Love the total modular design and this thing comes with all the cables you could want. I have 5 led case fans, 1 hd and 2 cd/dvd drives. I have been monitoring voltages and everything is pefect. Fans on p/s are strong AND quiet. I can once again awaken my pc with a tap on the spacebar or moving the mouse. For the moment, 5 stars. Time will tell.

I am updating this review. Although my first one died, I firmly believe that was a fluke, as the next one I received has been going strong for a year now with no hiccups. High quality cables and a well made device.

This is a great power supply. Tons of power for pretty much any 2-way SLI/CF setup, super stable, silent, and the ribbon-style black cables are great. Sleeving on the 24-pin is great as well! I made a video showing a bit more of the power supply as well, link below.

Buy a wattage meter for your computer. You are going to likely find out you only need between 450 to 550 for even a top of the line Gaming PC.

If you aren't running a few GPUs and a top notch PC the odds that you need 750 are extremely slim. My PC maxed out uses about 460. But I didn't know that so I bought this and now I feel silly \0/.

Edit: Specs in comments if you are curious :).

First let me say I am a HUGE Seasonic fan. I've owned their power supplies in the past and used PSUs in other builds. However, this model has one huge flaw that is truly unacceptable in this age of quiet computing....The fan is way too LOUD. When I initially got everything hooked up and booted up the first time, I genuinely thought it was malfunctioning. By far the loudest thing in my case was the PSU fan. The noise was unbearable. The build quality is great, and it otherwise works perfectly, but I could not keep the unit due to the loudness. I ended up getting a Corsair RM750.
