Drums can make you crazy.,

Marylin Rife was the percussionist for the first handful of recordings by Alice Gomez, from "Flute Dreams" to "Obsidian Butterfly". Her tympani beats helped center the keyboard harmonies and the flutes of Madalyn Blanchett.This CD emphasized the percussion work much more than the others, but still it is a work of three extremely talented musicians. If you enjoyed any of Alice Gomez or Madalyn Blanchett recordings, such as "Flute Dreams", then this one will give you equal pleasure. It is difficult for me to believe that after 10 years, this is the first review of this CD on Amazon. Buy this if you enjoyed "Flute Dreams" or any other early Alice Gomez recordings.

I actually purchased this a few years back. The music on the CD is different than most of the "American Indian" musical CDs, of which I have SEVERAL!! I love the energy put forth in the music. Each track is unique and exhilarating at the same time. If I put this CD on in the mornings while I am getting ready to face the work day, I find it to be uplifting and it gives me the power to get out there and give it my all!! It may not be that "magical" for everyone, but I swear by it. It has the drums, the flutes, the nature surrounding us, and is so upbeat and enjoyable, I just can't help but smile in the mornings.. and I am definitely a NIGHT PERSON living in a day-person world!!!
