Learning with a Purpose:Finding A Way To Live! A Must Read!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Seasons of Learning: Talks to Graduates on Life After College (Hardcover)
V.H. Howard's latest book has been called by Howard Gardner of "Multiple Intelligence's Fame" -- "Compelling reading for learners of all ages." This is a book that offers more than just a "good read," it is a work that can be studied and absorbed into one's being. In short, it can be "life changing" and serves as an inspiration and guide for those who wish to get at the true essence of why "Learning with a Purpose," is of upmost moral and philosphic importance and leads to "Finding A Way To Live." Dr. Howard (Co-Director of the Philosophy of Education Research Center at Harvard University) explains the difference between educating for one's life work and simply training for a job. This beautiful and memorable book is used as one of the required texts in Harvard's Philosophy of Education . It is as delightful and profound as Dr. Howard's spell binding lectures!

I found it very interesting, having met the author. Theo was a good example of the person who naturally studies life and makes learning a lifelong pursuit. Something we would do well to emulate.
