Book Description

August 27, 1999
SEASONS explores the relational, emotional, spiritual and developmental journey of adult women. A woman's life is a series of recurring transitions and changes. By showing how to recognize and embrace them-rather than fight and fear them-SEASONS guides the reader through the upheavals of life to self assurance and freedom. As the seasons of the year repeat, so the seasons of our lives can be experienced many times and in varying degrees and order. With change comes enhanced vision, renewal and hopefully wisdom. A Winter season is a time of confusion and grieving, with more questions than answers. Spring is a time of new beginnings, forgiveness, joy and dreaming new dreams. Summer is a time of balance, confidence, and finding ones voice. Autumn is a time of giving, renewing and contributing to the community. Each chapter closes with practical questions for journeling and personalizing the content. Each chapter is rich in real life examples and practical information. For the woman who is in transition or change, who seems lost and needs to find direction, or who wonders what this journey is all about, this book is an invaluable tool.

This review is from: Seasons of a Woman's Life (Paperback)
I believe that this book is an anointed message for woman. It really causes a woman to look at where she has been, in other words, the events in our lives are determining factors in the season that we are in. It shows you who you are, it gives you a "woman's sense of self." Life is made up of transitions, and growth causes us to transition from one season to another, but tragedy and grief also causes us to transition from one season to another. If you are a woman, and you are stuck in one place, this book is a great tool. Each chapter ends with questions or reflections that help guide you through your search for self and identity. It talks about growth, change, purpose, balance, awakenings, spiritual renewal, forgiveness, new beginnings, expression, harvest and revival and the list goes on. It is best to get the book and allow your life to be changed forever. This is a book that will help women for generations to come. It is a great tool for Women's Ministry as well as for personal growth and enjoyment.
