Not for big guys,

This review is from: Seat Post - Layback with Support 25.4 1" (Misc.)
I put this post on my beach cruiser and rode 1 mile then began to "sink". I thought I had not secured it well.... not the case. It was the post, bending at the welded point right at the frame seat clamp. If these are supposed to be designed for tall people then I would think they would be tougher. Im 6'2" and 220 pounds. Maybe I am just to big. I dont blame the seller as I have ordered from them before with no issues.

Makes a short bicycle frame fit to reduce knee pain,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seat Post - Layback with Support 25.4 1" (Misc.)
I bought this as a family member had a good bike but the frame was a size too small which was causing Knee pain. Raising the height of the seat did not fix the problem as the seat did not go far enough back. By installing this seatpost along with a shim to make it the correct diameter we were able to move the seat far enough back to reduce most if not all of the knee pain.
It must be noted that the angled support limits how low the seat post can go and also when you move the seat this far back it can interfere with luggage carriers on the rear of the bike. |
