About the Author
Nance Trueworthy has been a professional photographer for 33 years, shooting throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. She specializes in national and international stock, as well as assignment work. Her color images have appeared in magazines such as Time, Sports Illustrated, and Newsweek. Nance’s work was also chosen by the Smithsonian Institution for the museum’s popular exhibit "Ocean Planet." She lives in South Portland, Maine.

This smallish coffee table book is a perfect gift for those who are in love with the coastline of Maine. And isn't that anyone who's seen it? Each page contains a color photograph that makes you wish you were standing right behind the photographer, Nance Trueworthy. In many of the shots, empty beach chairs face the water, just enticing you and your companions to slip into them to enjoy the view. David Tyler wrote the foreword and the brief captions for each image. If it's been a while since you made the trip yourself, let your memories come alive by paging through A SEAT ON THE SHORE.

This is one of the finest books on Maine that I've ever had the pleasure to own. All of the books by Nance Trueworthy are exceptionally done and make you feel as if you were in Maine with her. I own all of her books and find myself looking through them all year round, more so in the winter, it carries me until the spring!!
