If you're an IT professional with any career aspirations whatsoever, this book is an absolute must read. Bassett and Rothman really get it - they know what goes drives the CEO. And if you don't align yourself as an enabler of these key drives, you just won't matter in your organization.

Any organization, regardless of industry, is driven by the constant need to create new streams of revenue, and to increase margins. Anyone that does not help drives these goals is not critical to the organization in the eyes of the CEO.

Through real-world examples and case studies, the authors illustrate how current and aspiring CSOs and CIOs can make themselves invaluable in the eyes of the CEO. Bottom line, we need to stop selling FUDs to the fearless and stop leading with compliance to justify IT spend!
