Great explanations of an interesting subject. It will help the beginning home barista to get started toward the goal of enjoying spectacular coffee at home. Like the statement of the way to get to Carnegie Hall - practice, practice, practice along with this book will help make that gosl attainable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for an astounding price December 6, 2013

I can't believe this kindle book is only $8. It's so complete, so helpful, so step-by-step, it should be $100. I did take the 1/2 day home barista class at Seattle Barista Academy (which was great, by the way), and this book answered all the questions I had left over. I highly recommend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very simple information January 6, 2014

I thougth this book covered the types of coffe in a deeper way, its a very simple manual that gives you some background about the history of the coffee at the beggining, then some description about the different kinds of coffee, and the main topic was how to use an expresso machine, it contains a few recipies and that was all. If was expecting a more detailed and complete book regarding the different types of coffee, the different brewing styles in a detailed way. I was able to finish the manual in about 2 hours. I think it was to expensive for what the book offers. I dont recommend it.
