Very bad experience.

The product itself looks like it is made very well and I like the shower head on it, many that I looked at did not have this feature.

The handle is integrated onto the top of the pincher.

Out of all the solar shower bags available, I chose this one because it was not made of PVC and looked to be a high quality product. It does heat up well when put in the sun, but I'm not happy with the quality of the shower hose. The connection to the bag is rather fragile and the plastic threads are easily stripped. The shower head barely allows a trickle of water and also seems fragile and easily broken. The filling hole and cap are heavy duty but might have been placed for easier filling---you can't hold the bag upright and fill it. In a camping situation, using a hand pump, it would be very difficult for one person to fill. In short, I like some things about this solar shower, but would like a sturdier hose and shower head and a design modification to make it easier to fill.

I have an older model of this solar shower and it's great. But for some reason, it was redesigned; and very poorly at that. The older design has:

1) a sturdy handle with an internal rod that spans the width of the bag
2) a refill cap that screws on

The new design (not shown in the pic on Amazon has:

1) a flimsy, uncomfortable handle that has NO rod and does not span the width of the bag
2) the worst design ever for refill and seal

Get this -- the new design has a lame closure that works by having you fold over the top of the bag and then sliding a "pincher" from the side, over the fold. The handle is integrated onto the top of the pincher.

FAIL

4 gallons of water at about 8lbs per gallon == about 32 lbs. Lifting the full bag by the pincher causes what? You guessed it. It causes the fold of the bag to pull right through the pinching device, the bag to drop to the floor with a gaping opening, 4 gallons of water to explode onto everything in sight, all while your standing there, still holding a handle with no bag attached anymore.

Seattle Sports, fire the bone-head who developed this mod and return to the previous, tried and true design.

BTW - I heat my water, hang the bag, unscrew the top (old, good design) and then drop a 12vdc electric pump to shower. Impossible with the new design since the hanging device and lid are integrated.

The water heated up pretty well. The hose needs to be improved. It is way to short to stand under and get a good shower.
I am only 5'2 and it was too short for me without bending over.
The on off push of the hose sprayer is horrible. It is hard to push completely close especially with soapy hands and all the water runs out fairly quickly.
Please make a longer hose. With a better on off switch. More like a lever to turn on and off or something.
I am considering returning this product for something with a different hose and on off.
I like the 5 gallon size. Also it is hard to fill when you try to put it in the stream or lake to fill it closes. Hard to balance on rocks and balance and fill. Needs to stay open or you need to bring something along to scope the water into. Something else to lug around when you are backpacking.

This solar shower works well and is easy to take along to a remote location where heated water is not available. My husband took it to "Burning Man" and it was his only way to get a little shower.
