5.0 out of 5 stars Seattle Sports Sportsman's Paddle Leash
Seattle Sports Sportsman's Paddle Leash- Elastic cord, proper length. Works well and easily to attach to paddle, if yours is a take down model. Not bad quality. Not a forever leash, as I am sure it will last long enough for the price paid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Seattle Sports Kayak Paddle Leash - Acceptable
Product is acceptable. The method of attaching it to the paddle is clumsy, though, and the leash tends to slip from its centered position. The leash is not bad enough to send back, but next time I would try one of the others available.

2.0 out of 5 stars Would not buy again, December 25, 2010

It does it job but just not very well. the strap that connects to your paddle is not tight so the strap goes back and forth while you paddle which can cause some problems when paddling. i would buy another paddle leash and spend a little more money next time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke on first outing, June 1, 2011

I bought two of these leashes for two kayaks (Frenzy and Yak Board).

Was using it with the Yak Board, first day out, and the cord snapped. Will not buy this again, but will buy one that is more durable.
A simple piece of small diameter bungee cord with a nylon wrap will not suffice for many applications.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Good, Some Bad, March 19, 2011
This review is from: Seattle Sports Sportsman's Paddle Leash (Sports)
I have two of these leashes. I use one paddle, and carry a spare. I have leashes on both. I coil the elastic cord around each paddle near its center joint and latch the hook into the slip binding. It never moves and is always there ready to deploy as needed. I have used the heavier spring coiled type of paddle leash too. They are effective. But I do not want to have them deployed all the time, they are difficult to store on deck, and impossible to store on the paddle itself. The down side to this paddle leash is that the elastic cord is very light weight. It stretches to the point where I am concerned that it will break when trying to retrieve my paddle. This is especially true in difficult sea and wind conditions where you are most likely to use it. And, the elastic seems to degrade over time and exposure to the sun. A slightly shorter and heavier elastic would make this a better product in my opinion. Recommended, but with the reservations above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says, August 15, 2011

This little contraption does exactly what it says, no more, no less. Just make sure to clip it onto your boat...no need to have your dropped paddle drag you in too...

the total tensile strength before breaking is very low. if you plan on having any rugged use or tension don't bother with these, get some nylon rope.

This kind is better then the curly ones, you don't have to unwind all the time, came in handy for for a dog leash too one day.

I love the clip on these thing. But the bungee it self is a little weak. The black cord cut off and the bungee are showing. I could have got a dud but I doubt I would buy another.
