4.0 out of 5 stars Wide Widths!
I was so happy to find these in a wide width. I first ordered my regular size, and 8.5 wide. They were quite large, so I exchanged them for the 8 Wide. Perfect. I love the way these shoes look, and I wore them all through high school in the 80s. It's like finding an old friend. These shoes don't appear to have changed at all since then, and I fully expect to get years of...

3.0 out of 5 stars casual shoes
While every bit as smart looking as the picture I find them a little tough to break in. Love the look, now for the comfort part.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very uncomfortable, Don't buy this shoe, February 10, 2010
I had to return this product as they were very uncomfortable. The insole has a ledge (step-down) between the heel and the ball of the foot. It is about 1/2 an inch difference. I have never seen this in a shoe before and hope I don't ever encounter it again. I called the Docksiders customer service center in hopes that this was just a mistake but they told me that this is the way they are making their shoes. I hope that Docksider's will rethink this idea as I won't be buying any more shoes from them that have this insole.

1.0 out of 5 stars stiff and uncomfortable, October 11, 2010
I am very unhappy with these shoes. I bought them in 9.5 in navy blue. They are very narrow and very stiff. I have tried to wear them 3 times and they are so uncomfortable I am forced to change shoes after less than an hour. While I did buy them to wear boating, and realize they aren't meant primarily for support, the flat soles, and hard almost plastic-like leather makes them the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought and for 100. I expect something better. I even wrote to Sebago and asked if they had any tips such as oiling them or stretching them to loosen them up, but I got no reply. I also notice they are made in South America which I didn't realize, I thought I was buying an American made shoe. Unfortunately I bought them too early before I started wearing them and now am unable to return them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shoes are a bit stiff., January 27, 2009
It would be nice if when we receive a pair of shoes, that look like they should be soft leather, were soft. I like the look of them very much, but I have very tender feet and breaking them in is very difficult for me. Maybe there is a way to manipulate the leather, especially at the seams, to make them foot friendly.

5.0 out of 5 stars With Sebago, never disappointed, July 11, 2011
They came in real quick and they are just as expected, lets just hope they last as long as their predecessors, more than 20 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, great looking, beautiful colors, February 6, 2011
These shoes are excellent boat shoes to use onboard (non slippery, water resistant...), but I also wear them for everyday. Not only are they very comfortable, they are nonetheless elegant with their nice colors, make slim feet, and look just great in replacement to the usual pair of baskets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ugh. I love these fracking shoes., August 1, 2010
They're wonderful. Yes they run a bit small. I generally teeter somewhere between a 6.5-7.5 and I got a 6.5 - They're perfect. Plus the leather is so luscious, they will stretch a bit. So comfy. Don't hesitate.
