I have used this hairspray for over 10 years and bought it locally from beauty salons. When I saw the good buy on Amazon, I jumped at it because it normally is higher than the price listed. Unfortunately, when I used the first can I immediately knew that this was not Shaper Hairspray. It is in a Shaper Hairspray can, but it is either old or defective or both. I know this hairspray, and this is not the product that I have bought for years. If it has sat in a warehouse for a long time, it may be that that is what is wrong. I do not know, but when I wanted to return the hairspray I was told that I would have to return at my own expense because the cans are not damaged and can spray. In other words, it doesn't matter what the product is inside the cans. If it can spray and the cans are not damaged, you are out of luck. Also, there was no invoice in the box giving instructions on how to return the hairspray. I never get mdse. shipped that doesn't come with some type of invoice and instructions on how to return. You are taking a big risk ordering with this company. I am sure they can get their money back from Sebastian if they are defective, but you will have the expense of shipping back to them. Needless to say, I will never order from them again.

I use to purchase this product at the local beauty supply store and pay full retail. Now I always buy from Amazon because the price is well below the retail price even after considering the shipping costs.

One of the other reviewers mentioned throwing out all the gels, mousses, styling aids and simply using this Shaper Hairspray - they are RIGHT ON!!

I first bought a trial size of this a few months ago as I was flying with a carry-on bag and couldn't bring my regular ginormous can of hairspray. When the cashier first rang up the trial size I thought she'd made a mistake. The trial size was roughly $9.00USD or thereabouts - I am stupid enough to buy something like that without regard for the $$$. (not anymore, though)

But in this case it was $9.00 well spent, as the product was so incredible, I couldn't believe it.

I have fine wispy hair and using the Shaper spray makes me look as though I'd just gotten a body perm. And unbelievably, there is no sticky residue and you can comb through your hair after applying.

Shaper hairspray is a real blessing - I can't recommend it highly enough.

p.s. Thankfully the 10oz size is $12.95 as opposed to the trial size 1.5oz at $9.00.

Very good hairspray, does not cake, weigh down hair, yet holds hair. While there doesn't seem to be any residue build-up on the hair, it does build-up significantly on surfaces where the spray is used.

Great hairspray that I've used for years as a stylist at the salon and for personal use.

It is a nice shaping hair spray with which also gets washed away easily when you shower.

The only sad thing is that I get those weird white stuff on my hair after I use it.

This is the BEST hairspray. It's sprays evenly and lightly. Holds well but isn't stiff. You can rearrange problem areas when finishing your style.

I have been using this hairspray for years and decided to try buying on line. Was really please to see a good price for a great product. Seller shipped timely and product was received in great condition. This hairspray holds up well in bad weather yet is soft to the touch and does not build up on my hair.

I have used this for years as I have fine hair with no body. With this I can style hair, spray, and my hair moves and acts as though it has no spray on it. I can also brush during day or whenever and hair is holding body without sticky feeling or any product feeling.

Prompt delivery. Hope they keep carrying the Shaper. Good price compared to what I used to pay in stores.

Best hairspray for those of us with fine,lifeless hair.....only way I can go to work in the AM...coffee and Sebastian.
