Second Chance SummerT, May 7, 2011
This review is from: Second Chance Summer (Paperback)
If you are looking for a great love story this is it. You can put yourself right into this book and relate to
their feelings and frustrations. I know when I can laugh and cry reading a book, then I truly know its a great story.
Gabe is a great example of a man who lives the love of his life for a family member, whom he loves also.
Never knowing what happened to his baby and when finding out he was crushed. We tend to forget men
have deep feelings also, but are unable to express like us women. You really feel sorry for him and hope
that he truly gets to express to Katie how he feels.
I loved how he knew nothing about putting on a roof or repair Katie's house, but in-fact would do anything
to gain her respect and love. The back and forth of the love between them that they keep fighting. Both trying to
keep a distance between them, but the pull of their deep feelings for one another finallyy won out.
I could not put this book down, read well into the night, of all times Easter week, it totally had me from the first page.
I just loved it and can not wait till another of Michelle Mcadam's books to come out. This is the second one I have read.
The first "Somewhere Love' I also recommend. Wonderful love stories, and just enough spice.
Thanks

Filled with feelings and pain, Great Romance Novel, July 3, 2011
This review is from: Second Chance Summer (Paperback)
I do not normally read romance novels but picked this one up early in our annual sojourn to the Thousand Islands last week where the spell of the islands completely captures my spirit and imagination. Read an article about the book in one of the local tourist papers and then purchased it in the little book store in Clayton. Upon finishing the first romance novel I have ever read, The Best of Times by Terrance Finn, I picked up my copy of Second Chance Summer and from that point on had a very difficult time putting it down.
While I am far from an expert in Romance Novels, this book really hit home. She creates her characters in such great detail and realism that one can nearly reach out and touch them. When they hurt you hurt and when they are joyful the reader can feel all the joyful they are feeling.
I now need to purchase my third romance novel, Michelle's first book.
Was a fantastic read, especially if you happen to be in the Thousand Islands or are captivated by the romance of that special place.
