SECOND CHANCES is one of Constance O'Day-Flannery's best efforts. The characters were rich and compelling and the story was utterly unique. You knew it was fantasy, but it was so well crafted that you dreamed it could really come true.

Jack's and Laurie's techniques to save Jess were hilarious. The haunting of Terri; the "fundraiser" to revamp Jessica's store; Jack's revenge against the sleazeball Keith. Some of the funniest scenes in romance fiction are found in this book!

I was only annoyed with Jess' decision-making process over whether or not to keep her baby. Does it really make sense that any sane woman could kill her baby but *couldn't* give the baby to a loving couple to raise as their own? The character motivation there was really lacking.

But the best part of this book is the ending. I don't want to give anything away but Jack's and Laurie's re-discovery of each other is so beautiful that I read it again and again. Try SECOND CHANCES.... Trust me, you'll love it!

I thought this book was truly wonderful. At first I wasn't sure where this book was headed, but something made me keep reading, and I am glad that I did. This book is much more than one story, it is two. I was so happy to see that the book didn't end with Jessica's life being put back together. It went on to give the reader more of what every reader wants....A longer story involvoing the lovable characters. This book was a true delight to read. Definately a must read for anyone who loves happy endings.

This book arrived in perfect condition and I loved reading it as much as I did the first time eight years ago!
