Great fun learning,

We are an electronics family and the little ones love these learning games. It puts a whole new spin on "homework" or "homeschool". They are challenging and rewarding. Our children love to play them and enjoy the instant show of their success. And they enjoy getting to the games that come in between the learning games. We are using them on both a home computer running Windows XP and a laptop with Windows 2000. Both our systems are dinosaurs as computers go, 6 and 10 years old respectively, so I was very pleased that we could use these games without having to upgrade. Of course, how well they do for you will depend on your childs familiarity with computers and/or their willingness to learn. If they like video games or computers in general these may be a good choice for you. Also, the grade level to us is only a guide, both our 5 and 8 year old like these even though they have different levels of understanding. The way I see it, if they aren't quite up to level, they are challenged and if they already know it all, they can help the others and enjoy the confidence boost. The main thing is, if they are having fun, they are more likely to learn, no matter what they do. Enjoy. One last note, if they like to print their success, be ready with the ink! We often sit with them to clap and praise their accomplishments.

I have purchased the Kindergarden (Transitional Math K-1; Reading Readiness K-1)and 1st Grade(Time, Money, Fractions; Vocabulary Puzzels). The 2nd Grade (Phonics 2-3; Math 2) are just as good. My daughter has enjoyed all of them. The didactic of lessons and then a game are a great for keeping my daughter engaged--and have helped her learning.
