SECOND HONEYMOON by Laura Abbot
September 22, 2005
Amazon rating 4/5
"In Laura Abbot's Second Honeymoon, a married couple close to their twentieth wedding anniversary have come to a point in their relationship where they are thinking of separation. Meg and Scott Harper each feels neglected and under-appreciated by the other, and that things cannot continue this way. The romance in their marriage died long before, and it's been quite a while since they had sex. Their two adolescent children, Hayley and Justin, have their own problems. They're also dealing with Scott's aging parents, one of whom will eventually need daily assistance. It takes a family crisis to bring them back together again." - M Lofton - complete review at BookLoons.
Here's a romance that takes the opposite route - an existing relationship that needs to be repaired. I enjoyed this novel for this approach, and Laura Abbot does a good job with creating characters that are believable. Recommended.
