Book Description

February 28, 2000
"Second Messenger" is a bright, new star of visionary fiction that restates timeless truths in a cutting-edge context. The rollicking tale weaves heroes, villains, romance, and Divine Intervention to deliver a wallop that readers describe as a cross between James Redfield's "The Celestine Prophecy" and Robert Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land."

Editorial Reviews

Review

... a page-turner of a novel with more twists and turns (and excitement) than a mountain road. -- Richard Fuller, Senior Editor, Metaphysical Reviews

Human, machine, and a Higher Power all collide in this revolutionary novel and what a surprising experience! -- Sylvanna Faire, Magical Blend Magazine

It is a great practical lesson or a wonderful, soul-warming affirmation. -- Cameron Mandrake, Dragon Spirit Magazine

About the Author

Although they were born a thousand miles apart, Kitty's and Gale's aspirations led them down the same life path. Gale earned his degree in Speech Communication from the University of Iowa, where he attended its prestigious Writers Workshop, while Kitty juggled single motherhood and worked toward a degree in Journalism at the University of Utah. Its no wonder their probabilities blended so magically more than twenty years ago. As they later plied their skills in corporate America, writing marketing and business proposals, each of them harbored a secret desire to find a life partner with whom to write the things of their hearts. Not so coincidentally, their hearts whispered of Spirit.

Today they live in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado, sharing their forest home with Ripley, their resident Fur Being, and the woodland animals who visit the Connell sanctum. Gale and Kitty devote their time to family, their life-long spiritual studies, and writing together.

Gale and Kitty choose the quiet life, because (to paraphrase Mary Stewart's Merlin) God cannot speak to the mind too busy to listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Messenger, July 28, 2000
By
Dana P Hunsaker (Phoenix, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Second Messenger (Paperback)
Second Messenger is more than a riveting science-fiction novel, it is a guidebook for living a fuller life. By applying REL's parables to your daily existance your life becomes richer on a daily basis. This is a story of Spirit and transcends all religions and mindsets. The advice contained within can be used by anyone on a spiritual quest. There is only love and everything else that isn't love. There is only Spirit and everything else that isn't Spirit. Be sure to set aside a block of time to read this because once you start you will not want to set it down until the last page is read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Biomech as Second Coming, May 27, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Second Messenger (Paperback)
I loved the story twist of having the return of Christ inhabiting a computer programmed biomech, from the future no less. This is a great feel-good story with suspense, sci-fi and spiritual truth all rolled into one. Reiterates the old message of love in modern terms.

4.0 out of 5 stars An engaging, clever book, July 27, 2000
By
Island reader (Pacific Northwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Second Messenger (Paperback)
I was intrigued initially by the title, which is similiar to title of my own novel, "The Messenger."

The Second Messenger is a lively read with engaging, likable characters and a well-crafted plot that accurately reflects a New Age philosophy without being preachy. This is a book that has something to say, but doesn't hit you over the head with the message.
