This review is from: Second Seasonal Political Palate: A Feminist Vegetarian Cookbook (Paperback)
This is one of my favorite cookbooks. The dishes are all delicious and technique is usually simple. The dessert sections offer many sugar- and dairy-free options. Presentation is usually described in detail, and it is easy to make these dishes look beautiful. They also often suggest side dishes. My only qualm with this cookbook is the amount of preparation required for each dish. This can sometimes be surmounted; the enchilada recipe, for example, includes directions for making your own tortillas. I just buy them and save the time. Incidentally, the enchiladas are terrific.
