I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The cruise ship setting for this murder mystery/comedy/light romance was perfect. Casey Jones, the entertainment director on the Countess Georgina, gets herself into a number of comical misadventures on this cruise through the Caribbean. Dr. Mallory, the handsome cruise ship doctor, always manages to show up at just the right time to to help get Casey out of hot water.

The author did a fantastic job describing the ship and the ports of call. There were a number of interesting characters in this story and the author developed each of them quite well. Estelle Grayson was a hoot. Her singing career had cooled years ago, but she was still quite the demanding diva as a "has been" lounge singer on this cruise.

I'm not sure what issues the previous rater had with this book. The author is British and the book was printed in Great Britain. As such, British slang and British spelling is used throughout the book. Having visited England a number of times, that only added to my enjoyment of this book.

I had a great time taking this cruise with Casey Jones, Dr. Mallory and the rest of the passengers and crew on the Countess Georgina. I was kept guessing "who dunnit" right up until the end. I already have the next book in the series and can't wait to cruise through the Med with Casey and company. I will soon be ordering the third book in this series. Great fun......I wish there were 20 books in this series! I definitely hope this series doesn't end with just the three current books.

I was looking forward to starting a new mystery series set on a cruise ship. What a disappointment! The grammar is so bad, starting at the first sentence and continuing through the first 10 pages, that I cannot stand to read the book. The author clearly did not have the advantage of a skilled editor to improve her book before publishing.
