Product Description

A book about facing diabetes and mid-life by Carole Calladine. The author, MSSA, LISW, is a clinical social worker with
over thirty years of experience. Now in the second half of life, she writes out of an innate fascination about relationships, life stages, and choices. She is a gifted family life educator in print and in person. Her masters degree in social service administration is from Case Western Reserve University and her undergraduate honors degree in sociology is from the
State University of Iowa.
Second Story Woman is her third book, following Raising
Siblings…Raising Brothers and Sisters Without Raising the Roof, on sibling rivalry, and One Terrific Year…Supporting Your Kids Through The Ups and Downs of Their Year, on the repetitive themes of childhood. For seven years, Carole wrote You and Your Teen-Ager for the Sunday edition of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The author is an educator and keynote speaker at conferences from New York to British Columbia. She specializes in facilitating workshops on wellness, creativity, and writing.
An avid bicycler, the author resides with her husband, Andrew, in a house overlooking the Cleveland Metroparks and its biking trails.
Currently, she is the Director of Senior Services for the City of Rocky River where seniors enjoy opportunities for second stories.
