This book provided an interesting, in-depth look at the formation, travels and battles engaged in by the 2nd Texas Infantry. It was meaningful to me, since my great-grandfather was a member of Company A, along with his brother. I was pleased to learn that the unit he was in was considered so brave, and performed so admirably under adverse conditions.
