Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Concerned over her parents' impending divorce, convinced that her dependable boyfriend, Nate, doesn't understand her, and looking for a little more romance in her life, tenth-grader Brittany Parrish turns to the InternetAand, miraculously, meets "the most perfect guy ever." But what begins as an innocent correspondence gradually becomes more sinister, and suddenly Brittany finds herself involved in something she had never imagined. Appealing, appropriately flawed teenage protagonists, nicely handled emotional conflict, and a simple but effective plot that unfolds suspensefully recommend this timely, chilling Red Riding Hood tale. Zach's books have proven appeal to YA readers, and this one, despite its cautionary message, will be no exception. Zach won a Rita for Runaway, the first book in her "Dear Diary" series.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Secret Admirer (Dear Diary Series #4) (Paperback)
The book of Dear Diary secret admire is about a teenager girl that meets the perfect guy on the internet, and when she meets that guy in Chicago the guy she saw in the photo was different from the guy she saw in Chicago, he was old, fat, and he was he's father's friend, and he's real name was, Bod steward. The setting was almost in school because she was always writting to him. The conflict is that Brittany's best friend got in her email and read everything about Randall and Brittany getting to meet.
