This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)
I bought this for my sister for her 9th birthday and she loved it :)
Heck, I'm 18 and I liked it, too.
Nice, sweet story.
I have read other Geronimo Stilton books and there are others that I like better, this is not my favorite one, but it's still nice :)

5.0 out of 5 stars the castle, June 19, 2009

This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)
The following review is by Isabella (6 yr).
"moldy mozzarella, it was every mouses worst nightmare my old friend creepella von cacklefur invited me to her famils spooky castle. and before i could say not for all the cheese in cheddarton, she'd mouse napped me now i was stuck in the gloomiest, eeriest castle ever. even worse, i was surrounded by creepellas creepy family oh would i ever escape back to my safe, cozy mouse hole in new mouse city."

Parental comment: Personal fad or not, Isabella's addiction to this 'mouse' series of adventure books has advanced her reading abilities dramatically. Paging through her collection I noticed the layout of the print and interspersed graphics do help move the story line.

Those 'baby einstein' videos are good for the toddlers and it appears 'Stilton' has found the formula for young readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars The new Addams Family, April 28, 2011
By
This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)
If you were ever a fan of The Addams Family you'll love The Cacklefur family. Geronimo Stilton is being teased by his family that it been a long time since he published a book. First from his sister Thea who actually drives her motorcycle into his third floor office, his cousin Trap and finally his 9 year old nephew Ben. He doesn't know what he'll do for a subject for a new book until smitten Creepella Von Cracklefur calls to invite Geronimo to Transratania at the far end of Mouse island. He tries to sneak away but is literally kidnapped by her and taken their against his will all the while screaming he want to go home. At the castle he meet such characters as the watch plant Chompers with its ferociously set of teeth, fire places that starts fires on command, lazy mirrors who only show reflections when it wish mad scientist twins, a phone which won't let anyone make phone calls and Creepella niece who want to grow up just like her Aunt. Geronimo seem find himself too scared to eat when dealing with such items as the castle's prankster ghost and were canary and bathroom mummies and flesh eating strawberries. Not to mention the smitten Creepella tell her family that Geronimo and her will be getting married someday.

As with all Geronimo Stilton books this one includes a list of the main characters of the series in the front of the book as well as maps of New Mouse City and Mouse Island in the back of the book. If you like the Cacklefur family here you'll be happy to know Creepella will soon be starting her own spin off series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Geronimo Stilton, August 30, 2009
This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)
I am a third grade teascher. Most of Geronimo Stilton's books are written at the third grade level and kids love the plot, the unique characters and colorful illustrations. We are starting out this year with The Secret of Cackle Fur Castle. An easy reader that kids love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Geronimo Stilton The Secret of Cacklefur Castle, January 23, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)

This book is about Geronimo Stilton biggest nightmare! One of his really old friends Creepella von Cackle has asked Geronimo to go and vist her family in her spooky castle that she was born in. Well also her way of saying can you come to meet my family is just mouse napping him! The big problem is that Creepella told her family that Geronimo is her future husband when he just hates her! Now he is stuck in this creepo castle. The castle is super weird because the mirror runs way, the fire is deaf and the carpet is like a dog. Also that Geronimo finds out that even though the Von Cacklefur family is weird and crazy the love and care for each other like a normal family. The Von Cacklefur family is not only crazy but they also have some very crazy members of the family. There are 13 members of the Von Cacklefur family. To me the Von Cacklefur family is just a normal family there are twin that cause the trouble, the butlers, the owner of the castle and soooo many more that it is just so hard to explain. Also that Geronimo finds out that even though the Von Cacklefur family is weird and crazy the love and care for each other like a normal family

5.0 out of 5 stars a great book, January 19, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Secret of Cacklefur Castle (Geronimo Stilton, No. 22) (Paperback)
I would give this 6 stars if I could, it is so good. This story shows how the Cacklefur family isn't just scary but also generous and helpful. Geronimo learns not to be afraid of something he doesn't know. He also learns that you shouldn't trust a false map and some pranksters. Can't wait for more Geroniomo!!
