Very interesting book, lots of Churches described, most accompanied by a color photograph of the church or some detail inside it. You won't get many pictures but you'll find a lot of interesting sites to visit.
If you don't know your way around (I wouldn't), you'll need some sort of other guide to help you find these places.
The book is divided into regions, each with a hand drawn map- with the mostly little known towns & villages hand lettered on it. No road or rail routes of any sort are described and many items conclude with Nearby: with the name of some village and another Church.

My only real complaint about this book is that it is so hard to determine where anything is! If you packed this book in your suitcase without a lot of study and planning beforehand I think most people would have great difficulty locating much of anything. Good maps, some road/ rail information and a little more nearby detail (such as the nearest town on the average road atlas map, not just the nearest - possibly not even on the map- little known place, would earn another ratings star and really help a person out.v
