Dude! Salem Lights have heavilly improved on their sound since 2002's Insect Wings CD.
They have moved away from the Dream Syndicate/Gun Club/Paisley Underground groove they were once immersed in, and now are heavier with more straight-up rock based guitar work. I always thought they had a very Dictators meets AC/DC vibe at their live shows, but they didnt capture this on the first full length. They now have that style mastered on their second CD.If you dig high energy rock n roll, in the tradition of Detroit bands, Oz Rocks bands, ZZ Top style guitar licks, and proto heavy metal and punk, then check out this CD.
