As embarrassing as it is, I've always had a problem with excessive "perspiration" in the underarm area. It happens all the time: while I'm just sitting at my desk, while I'm getting ready in the AM, in the winter, in the fall, at night, whenever. I have no idea what causes it. I'm not oveweight and it happens when I'm sedentary just as much as when I'm active.

I've tried every kind of product out there and was thisclose to going to a doctor for it, because it is really embarrassing. The underarms of my shirts are always wet and that causes me to have to wash them even if they've only been worn for a few hours. Ususally, by the time I leave the house in the mornings, my shirt is already wet and I have to deal with it all day. Plus, the "perspiration" can cause a very unpleasant odor too, especially in the spring and summer.

But, FINALLY, there is a product out there that has solved this issue for me!!!! I've only been using it for a week but today, I even went outside in the 85 degree heat and washed my car and....no wet underarms!!! The rest of me was sweating my my underarms remained dry and fresh and clean smelling which, for me, is a miracle!!



The directions say to wear it at night but I've been putting it on after my morning shower too. I am not sure how it would work otherwise because my shower washes the deodorant off and I don't want to go without it. Maybe sometime I'll try it but I haven't yet.


I highly, highly recommend this product. It works and, trust me, I thought nothing would. If you have this issue, buy Secret Clinical Strength.

I have had excessive persperation since I was a teenager. I've tried the perscription stuff, Drysol...but had horrible irritation with it and discontinued using it even though it worked. It took about three days of using the Secret Clinical Strength - Poweder Scent to really begin working. I use one click under each arm at night and one click under each arm each morning. It's kept me pretty dry...even in 80+ degree weather. I have noticed some minor persperation in the later afternoon evening, but it is very minor compared to what it used to be. I will definitely continue using this product even though it doesn't keep me 100% dry, 98% dry is better than nothing!

The powder scent is great too! I think it smells more fruity/floraly than powder, but I love it!

I have had a problem with excessive sweating off and on since i was 13, and nothing i have tried has done anything for me, until i found this product. when I apply it at night and then again after my morning shower I dont sweat a drop for the whole day! This product is amazing, and i feel more confident without having to worry about unsigtly sweat patches all the time.

When I first saw Secret Clinical Strength being sold, I was curious to see how much more of the active ingredient (aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex) it was offering over Secret Platinum Strength, since it was about triple the price. Platinum Strength had 19% active ingredient and Secret Clinical had 20%. Out of curiosity, I also checked Mitchum - it had 20% of the same active ingredient, with a much cheaper price tag (I spent too much time in the deodorant aisle that day, obviously). I concluded that Secret Clinical was a ripoff, and later recommended Mitchum to a friend who was using Clinical Strength. She said it worked just as well and ended up switching to Mitchum.

I, however, am a Secret fan and stuck to my Platinum strength, which worked well for me. The last time I went to the store to buy more Secret Platinum, I couldn't find any of the 19% strength - every Platinum package I checked only had 16%. It could just be the store I went to (Target), but if P&G is no longer selling an effective product in order to steer more people toward an overpriced solution, then I'm no longer buying Secret. After yet another bout of scintillating deodorant comparison, I ended up buying a 2-pack of Suave at 19% active ingredient for $2.98, and it works wonderfully.

Unbelievable results! I noticed an improvement from the first day. It seems kind of annoying to follow the directions and apply at night, but I do believe that is the "secret". I apply at night (do my shaving, and cleaning), then take a shower in the morning and apply again. You don't have to use much, just one twist for each arm seems to do the trick. I could go on and on about how terrible life was before I tried this item, but it is embarassing, so I'll simply say I was in great need of something better than what is currently on the market (I've tried every brand, home remedies, and natural deoderants).

I sweat moderately-to-heavily and tried Secret Clinical Strength as soon as it came on the market. First of all, I neglected to check the product weight...the box is enormous, but the actual container itself is VERY small...and only filled about halfway, at that. So, per ounce, it is extremely expensive. Secondly, while the deodorant aspect is fine (smells fresh throughout the day), the antiperspirant aspect is TERRIBLE. I'll have pools of sweat under my arms within two hours...something that doesn't happen with regular deodorant/antiperspirants, even in the summer. Perhaps it's my personal body chemistry, but this product does not work for me.

Sorry, this stuff works great, but it is WAY OVERPRICED and a rip off. Save your hard earned money and buy Suave - the 24 Hour Protection - make sure you get the 24 HOUR PROTECTION Suave, it has the same ingredients and same strength only for much cheaper - on sale you can get it for $1.79 or $2.49 regular price!!!

I am convinced that the reason some people may find this deodorant less than what they expected is because they must not be applying the product before bed. The directions explain that the deodorant works much better if you apply it at night--even if you shower in the morning--and then apply an antiperspirant deodorant in the morning (I use Secret Platinum most days, but if I am just lazing about, I don't need any extra protection. If I plan on exercising, I re-apply the Clinical Strength). I also get best results if I shower and shave just before applying and going to bed, as opposed to applying at the end of a day and only bathing in the morning.
My mother is a large woman who doesn't even need to use deodorant. I am a 115-pound woman, and I sweat a lot (and smell pretty stale at the end of the day)! This is the only product I have found that keeps me dry all day, but I do have to remember to apply at night and again in the morning if I'm really concerned. I LOVE this product. I find it well worth the price.
I generally dislike powder-scented deodorants, but this one smells great!

I bought this at around $8.00, got it home and read the ingredients. It is EXACTLY the same active ingredient as the Secret Platinum anti-perspirant. It only contains 1% more of the active ingredient, and as far as I can tell does not work any better.This is a complete rip-off for what it is. I would suggest trying something else. And just a warning check label before purchasing!!!

The best deodorant/antiperspirant I've ever used is "Swiss skincare formula" by CRABTREE & EVELYN but...it sells out so often that it can be difficult to track down a vendor with the stuff still in stock. I purchased Secret Clinical Strength because I was out of my other stuff & thought I'd give it a shot. It does NOT completely stop perspiration but, I really liked the scent & I REALLY liked the absence of any white marks on my clothing. The scent is has a citrus undertone to it which I found very refreshing & appealing. Secret also makes this particular product available in the traditional "powder" scent. I don't know that a product exists that truly gets rid of all perspiration while still being able to provide the consumer with a decent (& decent-smelling) deodorant. Overall, I like this product. 'Not as good as Crabtree but, it costs 2 dollars less & I would use THIS product before I'd use any other that is found on the shelf of my local drugstore. I feel that the absence of ANY white marks & the scent are worth the money however..., as with perfumes, the Light & Fresh Scent may not work for everyone. I will buy this particular product again.
