Color Name: All Day FreshVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
So, I tried this in New Orleans over a period of a week. It was hot. It was humid. I was caught in the rain on more than one occasion. And I walked everywhere. While the rest of me was a hot sweaty mess, my pits were fresh and dry. No sweat. No stink. And no icky white deodorant crumbs.

The directions indicate that one should turn the knob two clicks and apply. Apparently my pits are smaller than the average chick, as I only needed one turn of the wheel. It took a little effort and a few seconds to rub the deodorant into my skin, but nothing I'd consider excessive.

However, washing this stuff off is a bit of a challenge. You must not be stingy with the soap to really clean the antiperspirant off your skin.

Overall, this is a great antiperspirant/deodorant; perhaps even a must have for summer, especially if you wear sleeveless tops.

The antiperspirant/deodorant is a semi-solid. The product is pushed through holes in the top of the applicator when the wheel is turned. Additionally, a warning on the package indicates that people with kidney disease should consult their doctor before using the product.

OK - this is a little embarrassing. Maybe I'm a little funkier than the average woman. Unfortunately, I don't mean funky in a good way. I used to purchase scented deodorant - typically powder scent. And by the end of the day, my pits reeked. I couldn't understand why, but I soldiered on, convinced that I just needed stronger scented deodorant. When these clinical strength deodorants started to be sold, I didn't hesitate. I continued to purchase the powder scent. Even though I didn't noticeably sweat, I still smelled! One time, the drugstore was out of the powder scent, so I purchased the fragrance-free sensitive skin version. My world changed - no more odor! I don't know what my problem is - maybe different body chemistry reacts differently to various smells. Whatever the case, I will no longer used scented products under my arms.

This product comes out of the container in a creamy, white formation. Two clicks is sufficient for me. A little rubbing gets the whiteness to fade, although it is still capable of getting on your clothes. This is an acceptable trade-off for a product that works so well. I've used lots of deodorants/anti-perspirants, and from a sweat-stopping perspective, Secret Clinical is unbeatable.

I think I can safely say I've never reviewed a "women's product" of any nature and certainly not one relating to hygiene. That said, I grew up hearing that classic marketing speil: "Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman". Now that's as memorable as the old Timex slogan and a solid gold classic in advertising history. I bet Don Draper in the AMC series Mad Men will never approach such lofty marketing heights!

Still why would I review an anti-perspirant for a woman. Well, aside from the fact I received this from Amazon's vine program I really wanted to see if $10 so-called "clinical strength" anti-perspirant was worth all those additional "George Washington's". With 20% active ingredient it certainly has some promise.

Secret "Clinical Strength" Sport anti-perspirant is an all-around very effective wetness and odor preventer. The sport scent is perfect in that it is neither male or female smelling per se. The delivery method is like a whipped creme consistency which is effortlessly applied and dries quick. I have not noticed it discoloring my white t-shirts, which is the final important quality that makes me give it a high recommendation whatever your gender!

Mother used to say "Horses sweat, men perspire, and ladies feel the heat."

This reminds me a little of Certain-Dri, the old standby for those that sweat like a racehorse after winning the Kentucky Derby. Unlike Certain-Dri, this product is sticky and messy. However, it does not irritate the skin as Certain-Dri can. Put it on after a morning shower and it remains sticky. Using as directed, at night, solves this problem, that is if you wait until it is fully dry before putting your arms to your sides. It will keep you drier than most antiperspirants but use as directed, and it may take a few applications before you see the result you want.

UPDATE: I've also learned that it works by blocking the pores, and it's easier for the product to do that when we are in sleep mode, another reason to use at night.

Some women just "glow" in the heat. I'm not one of those women. I sweat. In fact, a week ago while at the beach with my daughter, I couldn't stand the smell of myself. Of course, I had put on my deodorant before heading to the beach, but after 5 hours of water & sun, the was no evidence of that morning's shower & deodorant left. Not a trace!

Yesterday, I went to the beach with friends. We rode an hour there. Nine people in a van with the windows down. It was *hot* just in the van! The beach was very sunny, and everyone was sweating. I, however, stayed fresh smelling ALL DAY. I was at the beach for 8 hours, plus 2 hours total in the van. 7 of those 8 hours were spent in the water. My deodorant stayed on, and I smelled great!

My only regret? I didn't bring Secret Clinical Strength Advanced Solid, All Day Fresh, 1.6-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 2) with me to share!

In the past, I have tried Degree Women Clinical Protection Anti-perspirant & Deodorant, Shower Clean, 2.7-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2), but it left me feeling jittery. I thought it was a fluke, so I stopped using it for 2 weeks, but the shaking & nervousness came back when I tried it again.

I did not get any side effects from Secret Clinical Strength Advanced Solid, All Day Fresh, 1.6-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 2) and will be using it from now on! I didn't expect this to truly be waterproof, but it is!

I usually read labels in the store but was in a rush and grabbed the Secret Clinical Stength. I didn't notice much difference from the Secret Platinum so I looked at the ingredients and the active ingredient in both is Aluminium Zirconium Trichlorohydex GLY. The Clinical Stenghth contains 20% and the Platinum has 19%. There are no other active ingredients and the inactive ingredients do not effect the product according to their Customer Service. I called P & G and asked how 1% would make a difference and the CS Rep was very nice but did not have an answer for me. Probably because 1% doesn't make a difference except to my pocket book. The clinical strength was around $11 and the Platinum around $4. The customer service line was helpful and if you aren't happy with the product I recommend bringing this up to them. I think it is unethical to add 1% to a product and charge 2.5 times the regular price.

I was a perfect candidate to try this deodorant out as I have a condition called hyperhidrosis...which means I sweat entirely too much for no apparent reason. I have been using a prescription anti-perspirant called Drysol for many years off and on, and it works perfectly...but I have health concerns with it for long-term use, so I am always on the prowl for new over-the-counter products to keep me feeling dry. First, a little FYI on how deodorant/anti-perspirants work. Anti-perspirants use aluminum in various forms to essentially "clog" your pores & sweat glands in various parts of the body (typically the armpits)...thus reducing the accumulation of sweat on the outside of your skin, it gets trapped inside your body. A lot of researchers out there say this is bad and it leads to all sorts of cancers, even breast cancer...my main reason for not wanting to continue using the Drysol for extended periods of time. Anyways, back to this Secret so-called Clinical Strength stuff. Having used a prescription strength anti-perspirant, this stuff doesn't even come close to it. You are supposed to apply both at night when you sweat the least and give it time to "activate", which again is a fancy term for clogging your pores/sweat glands.

The bottom line, I found no wetness relief using this stuff for about 2 weeks. I also found that I smelled like a homeless person at the end of the day and that is not typical for me. Yes I sweat a lot, but it doesn't have a smell to it typically...yet somehow I reeked after using this stuff. I do admit I find it odd it didn't work because Drysol contains 20% aluminum chloride and this stuff contains 20% aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex GLY...just goes to show you that the different forms of aluminum used aren't all the same.

Oh, and BTW...this isn't a solid Secret!! It's some type of squishy white substance that protrudes through slits in the top of the container when you twist the bottom. It doesn't absorb quickly into the skin and leaves a yucky slimy feeling, in my opinion, for a few minutes after application. I think the smell of the stuff itself is rather wonderful and womanly, yet the after-effect-homeless-person-who-hasn't-bathed-in-a-year is not so nice and therefore I threw it in the trash.

I have reviewed so many of these already and have found with the exception of one type the rest are all the same with a bit of difference such as scent.

I have been using Clinical Strength anti-perspirants/deodorants for a couple of years now and have found that once you use this product, "normal" types no longer work. I started out with the Dove brand and made my way to the Secret Clinical types. They now state on the label that they can be applied in the morning as well as bedtime. The other method of just bedtime was not cutting it for me anyway, but I did feel that I could go a whole 24 hrs without reapplying if necessary.

This particular scent is Waterproof "All Day Fresh". Personally for me again, this type doesn't cooperate with my body chemistry leaving for an unpleasant odor. The scent is not my favorite and makes me feel a bit "ugghh" when I have to apply because I do not want to "smell" it. Just as I have stated previously, I am not a "wet" sweater but I do struggle with odor. This brand would not be a repeat purchase for our household alone on the "scent". As far as the "waterproof" claims... I can come out of the shower after just rinsing without soap and it will still be there - as stinky as ever. It might just be me, but this one does not smell great.

Recommend to those that have had a good experience with this type, but not for any individuals that suffer from odor issues. I would also like to add that you need to scrub well with soap and water to actually remove the product. I have found that baby soap does not fully remove leaving for an icky feeling all over your palms and underarms. A final issue is the fact that there is such little product, we barely make it a whole month. After clicking so many times for the product to emerge you realize that there is 1/4 of actual product in the container. Stop skimping companies; especially at this price point!

FYI: Please do not take my review to be the final answer! Always visit your nearest drugstore and sample out the "scents" and see what you enjoy. You may just love this one. Like they always say, "To each his own" and "One man's trash is anothers' treasure".

This deodorant is soooo fragrant it makes me sick, and I can't even turn the dial on the bottom of the applicator. I literally have to use a towel to grip the dials on the bottom of the bar to be able to turn it enough to get some deodorant out. Then it leaves white residue on my clothes, which also smell like an overly-fragrant peach, including my work jackets and sweaters, until I wash them. I will never buy this product again and much prefer Dove. Too bad the store I was shopping at didn't offer it...

As a man, I just want a deodorant that blocks sweat and doesn't make me smell like I'm going to a high school dance. This is great: it blocks sweat and has no smell, so my shirt has no sweat stains and you can smell my cologne. Why is there no deodorant for men that does this?
