About the Author

What do you suppose high-priced call girls think about in bed? Surprisingly, I thought about writing - as in publishing my experiences in a book! Even when I was with clients, I was always visualizing my encounters as on a written page. I believe I was destined to be an author, but being an escort, probably didn't open any doors. If anything it shut doors, and I have had to bang them down. I currently work with the United Nations Geneva, writing on CEDAW, the Hague Convention of 1954, and the Rights of the Child. I would like to publish "Secret Confessions of a High-Priced Call Girl" globally, and produce a TV show or film based on the book. My book, "Secret Confessions of a high-priced Call Girl" is part memoir, and part well-written contemporary erotica. Hot and naughty erotica about the oldest profession in the world. Stories that are "anything but routine."

I have to agree that this book could have been a lot better if written by a professional. The premise of the story is quite intriguing but it lacks any kind of real emotion. There is no personal or relationship growth which makes the read a bit depressing, as the author grows into her 30's and is still turning tricks for trade. The intimate sexual descriptions are extremely limited, as were the clothing and other descriptions. The author tries to let you in on her world but seems lost in her non conventional lifestyle. There's a lot of analyzing and trying to convince the reader that this line of work is not shameful. She insists she's very smart and can keep up with her clients, and in only one page she writes a conversation she's having that is filled with worldly talk and philosophy.
Her persuit for love is depressing as she throws her body at men and cant acheive a level of intimacy beyond sex and superficial pillow talk. You also get to see how her job tends to build resentments as her old client uses the idea of her to further his career in writing. I never understood how this was hurtful to the author, but she chose to "out" him to everyone because she felt he had used her. It seems more because he didnt do her a business favor, after their affair.
I have nothing against prostitution but I felt like there was no personal growth in this book. The author is excessive in her discussions on discrimination and hate crimes yet she doesn't cruisade for those rights. Had she, I think this book would end on a high note.
I read the book in one day, all the contradictions about prostitution are glaring and the book ends so abruptly I thought I was missing pages. I wanted to like this author and her story but I ended up feeling empty and didn't understand who this person was. Not a good read.

Even at the considerable saving of a kindle version this book is a complete waste of time. The literary ability of the author is at best elementary school level. The events described are not uninteresting but the basic manner in which they are outlined fails to convey any emotion to engage the reader. I have never done any sort of book review before in my life but have taken the time to submit this one as I really felt misled by the reviews that existed for it. I have no links in any capacity to the author and certainly am not making any personal attack but I don't think this work should have been published. Her story is interesting but should have retold through a professional writer.

The book started off very exciting and interesting, however, the end ran on with no point and nothing interesting. It just kind of stopped.

This book was written well, but nothing spectacular. There was no deep insight into the secret world of escorting nor did it delve into the mind of a sex worker. The story was very surface. Humorous at parts, lackluster at many others. The author's take on sugar daddies vs. Escorting was interesting--many women ay that once you've been paid for sex, you never stop. I think that this is a very real alternative.

Was it horrible? No. Would I read again? No.

This book promises excitement and insight, especially with its seemingly provocative cover. Unfortunately, after a promising start, it generates into a series of forgettable sexual encounters. The author seems to bear a grudge against Mr. Sorkin who spent considerable time with her while procuring her services. So instead of grand insights into the life of a wealthy call girl, we find considerable resentment pervading the contents of this otherwise titillating book. So in comparison with classic volumes on this same topic, the book ends on a flat note of unfinished business. It is difficult to recommend this book to any but the most puerile readers.
