Angels and Airwaves is one of the most underrated pop/rock groups out there today, and they're in a whole other world in terms of quality. And, "Secret Crowds" may be one of their best tracks yet with its epic feel, and again, overall quality.

The beginning is easily likable, and perfectly puts you in the mood of the song, with a little bit of epicness added in for good measure. The verses are flat-out amazing, and excellently written, with flow, and an added dash of poise and grace. The vocals only add to its greatness.

However, when you come to the chorus, you're sorely disappointed. Not only does it feel out of place, and have the distinct feeling that it doesn't fit, but it almost feels lazy. Just throw in a pop/rock chorus. Bad mistake. While the chorus tries to be strong, it falls flat for the most part.

So overall, this song had the potential of being one of the best songs of 2007. While it's still a good song, it's not nearly as good as it could have been. But, hopefully Tom DeLonge will only grow into this new musical talent he seems to have found. Trust me folks, this isn't Blink-182.
