I've had this deck for many years and use it constantly -- I choose a card each day to meditate upon. I find doing this really rewarding. Penny Slinger's collage illustrations are gorgeous and draw you in. It's true, as others have written, that this is not really a deck for an absolute Tarot beginner, but if you feel attracted to it, don't let that stop you. And don't feel you have to know Tantric symbolism to work with this deck effectively, though I would highly recommend getting the instruction book. The deck's very spiritually deep -- and it has a sense of humor!

I bought these cards many years ago. I loved the pictures. Didn't quite understand them at first but over the years I have come to intergrate them in my thoughts and feelings. I use them like a calendar. 1-3l. and find them quite effective in interpreting things on a daily basis.

I just picked this deck up the other day. I'm fluent in most tarot decks and like seeing new ones. This deck is truly a new challenge. I don't recommend it to the beginner, but rather to the advanced tarot student who is more visual - works with images and likes hindu~tantric~kali esque ideas... i can tell the deck is based on the traditional tarot deck but it's really hard to figure out...i'm finding this deck a challenge because there really aren't any directions or booklet. I think it's trying to be mysterious on purpose...- because it's a really intense beautiful deck, i'll invest in the book...blessed be

The Secret dakinis Tarot cards are just beautiful and smart. Each card is easy to understand simply by meditating on it and giving it time for assimilation.
The cards are bright and funky and a joy to use.
What I like the most is that even negative events and cards which most people view as fearful and evil have a positive outlook and meaning attached to them. That is the cards free the user from old beliefs and superstitions that may have stagnated one's growth in the past.

This is the third deck of the Dakini cards I've ordered in the past 20 years. I keep coming back to the insights and perceptions it is able to generate. The Dakinis give a good picture of the currents at play in a person at the moment. They are not always easy, but the pictures and explanations of the pictures help put a deeper awareness to the message. If you are looking for a great tool to help you become aware of your inner life, the Dakini's can be a great aid.

The essence of Tantra, contrary to the understanding of most Westerners, is not just sexual, but the Vibrancy and Unification with the One Self. This curious deck, which I got some years ago, continues to invoke the ambiguous and the mysterious, the intrinsically visually sub-consciousness which acts as an inner Flame of perception....

Not a deck for explanations, but one of essence and inner reaching and silence. Take your time. Listen to the Visuals....!

I love this deck! The images allow for my guides to interpret the cards for me. I like the Tree of life spread that can be used for a reading, it really provides great insight with the cards and their meanings.

Having become interested recently in the tantric area I was delighted to see this deck. However the cards are, as a previous reviewer said, ugly. Infact I was repelled. The imagery was, I felt, random and crude (not as in rude). It was nothing like the front cover indicated ie traditional imagery. The back also does not give any indication to what is inside. It states "...archetypal images drawn from Eastern mystical teachings..." Be warned! I doubt if I will ever use this deck although I respect those who can.

I bought these cards and book many years ago because of the beautiful pictures. They are part of my mind thoughts everyday now.

I was in the bookstore with a friend who told me he'd buy me a deck of my choice. I was torn between this deck and a tarot deck that I'd never seen before. I got this deck; big mistake.

These have to be some of the UGLIEST divination/tarot cards ever created. The colors are garish and horrible, and the backs of the cards are completely uninspired. The card stock quality feels very cheap and flimsy, also, although the packaging is nice. I don't know what the artist of this deck was thinking about, but I found the ugly imagery to be so disturbing that I never, ever, ever use the deck. This set seems like nothing but a poor man's "Osho Zen Tarot" deck, and it fails pathetically. This could have been very good. Divination cards are supposed to inspire and enlighten. What happened?
