1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing New Here
Not recommended. There is nothing new in this slim volume. I gave the author the benefit of the doubt, but I was wrong. You won't find any secrets here that will improve your game unless you have never taken a golf lesson or never read another golf book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, May 16, 2006
This book is easy to read and understand. I have played golf for over 30 years and this is the first book that has given me the understanding to improve my game. If you are serious about becoming consistent and hitting the golf ball where you want, when you want you don't have to look any further. The understanding that using your natural arm swing coupled with a simple turn toward the target cuts through all of the rhetoric I have found in countless books and zillions of magazine articles. Charlie Jones is right! Read this one and get a better golf swing.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book helped my game, May 7, 2006
By
In the first round of a semi pro tourney I was ranked 453 out of 2000 players. I got a copy of Mikes book and read it. In three days I managed to get in practice rounds, and I returned to the tee with confidence. In the second round my overall score improved to 213 th place. I had trimmed my game by several points. By the third game I still placed under 100th, but my third game was a tie to a guy who placed third. So you could say that I was playing that well by the end of the tourney. Since that time I have placed in the top 20 against guys with much more green time than me. Needless to say I think this is a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn Ben Hogan's hand formation, December 19, 2011
By
Tim Flaherty (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
The picture on the cover can tell you much of what you need to know about Ben Hogan's unique hand formation at impact. "The Secret" is truely what Ben Hogan was actually doing at impact. Read it and be inspired to hit the ball better than you ever could under conventional teaching methods.

After reading the book and watching the video (helps to understand the book!), I won the qualifier for our club championships with 74 strokes- from backtee. Thank you Mike Cortson for saving the rest of my golfing life!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money., January 18, 2008
I've always felt that if I get just one good idea out of an instructional book or video, then it was worth the money. This book is not worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Much Information, May 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The book offers very little swing information. More of a book about strategy on the course(course management). Would not recommend this book.
