I am in a group of mother/daughters that are doing this book as a series of dates - some together, some independently. So far, I absolutely LOVE this book (and the entire series). I think that Dannah Gresh puts biblical principals into action by showing what the Bible teaches about friendships. This is a great place to start - especially when friendships start getting to that "rocky" phase where it's not "what was said, but how it was said". This is a fabulous book that helps mothers communicate with daughters (with a suggested conversation - including some answers...yeah) and time for daughters to journal about their thoughts. The entire book is well thought out and very well done.

I have only gotten through the first date so far, and my daughter and I both had the best time. My little girl is 8 and a bit of a tomboy, but as we talked about how God sees her & did girly things together, she just lit up. My husband asked her about the date and she told him all the details and could not stop smiling. She wants to have a date with me every week now.

This kit offered great ways I could help my daughters understand what true friendship was. The "Mom & Daughter" dates/talks were simple yet powerful tools to help us build a stronger bond of trust & understanding between ourselves and with our friends. I was able to take back some of the innocence that our culture is intent on taking away to quickly.
