From the moment I held "The Secret Key" by Michael Nebb in my hands I knew I was in for a treat. The cover illustrations by Ken Boyter shine like jewels and invite the reader to partake of a mystical journey across the cosmos with a small Norwegian girl called Gro Wise, a Chinese boy named Tao In Song, and their mythical companions: the beautiful blue Pegasus Akasha van Tastic, and the brave friendly little red dragon Yang An Strong.

The book has a touch of "Alice Through the Looking Glass" - where the magical meets the extraordinary. Yet, this story is more, as it seeks to enlighten us about our intimate rela-tionship with the Universal energies, teaching us much about their essential roles in the Universe and how they interplay and show themselves dynamically through our own human activities. They are both accurately and wittily described - showing a lightness of touch by Nebb, that amuses as well as educates the reader.

Interwoven throughout the story is the author's intense belief that humanity needs to wake up to the circumstances in which we find ourselves at the beginning of the new millennium. His conviction that we can heal human suffering and stop the violation of our planet by understanding that we have a place in the larger Cosmic scheme of things, is the thread that binds this story together. It is the story of Nebb's own journey as much as an offer to the reader to follow his path and learn as Gro and Song did, that we are each a unique expression of the Universal energies and therefore profoundly connected to one another and our homeworld, Earth.

"The Secret Key" reveals to us that the tool to achieve this is to develop our consciousness. By following in Gro's footsteps we are offered a unique opportunity to use that tool and discover who we truly are.
