Book Description

March 1, 1997
The Secret Language of Love is an evocative, richly illustrated glimpse into the mysterious phenomenon we call love, published just in time for Valentine's Day. Excerpts from love poetry and literature illuminate the enigma of romance, heartbreak, and physical attraction, while superb full-color images capture every mood of love, from delicate eroticism to the full flood of passion. From the "floating world" of Japanese geishas to the turbulent obsessions of Romanticism, this lavish volume reveals the age-old paradigms of the heart that forever color our feelings, our desires, and our deepest imaginings.
