Before getting to the substance of my review, I'd like to point out that this book is very attractive from a physical standpoint, with beautiful, color photographs on high-quality paper. As such, the reading experience itself was quite enjoyable.
On a substantive basis, this book is an exploration of water and the impact of the subtle energies of Hado, a force that is present in all things. Masuro Emoto has blazed a trail in the study of the effect of words, music and images on the formation of water crystals, operating under the hypothesis that negative words create a negative reality in the formation of ugly ice crystals and vice-versa. This is very interesting from the standpoint of the transformation of non-physical concepts (thoughts), into physical form. I've always struggled with the mechanical aspects of manifesting my thoughts into reality, and I think this book explains the process pretty well. Having said this, the author himself points out that his adherence to the scientific method is not strict and that his work is somewhat subjective. He also has a slight tendency to stray far afield, as in his discussion of hemp as a means of alternative energy. In spite of these small complaints, I found the book to be worthwhile and quite fascinating.

Secret Life of Water- crystals with a message,
This review is from: The Secret Life of Water (Hardcover)
This was an incredible book about the amazing pattern of crystals made from water. It was remarkable how the author discovered the process of how to look at and feel the message coming from the fluid of life which is water. You will get a real sense of water beyond what we know through ordinary science. And the pictures of the crystals are just amazingly beautiful. I highly recommend the book for those on their spiritual path. M.K. Cleveland,OH

Just holding or seeing the book invites one in,

Everything this man does emanates love, beauty, and truth. The photography, the explanations, the involvement of many people together resolving serious planetary problems with "simple" solutions - all based on love - getting results. Mr. Emoto's work doesn't just give me hope, it gives me absolute confidence that our planetary problems - both local and international - including greed and war - can and will be resolved. How long that will take will depend on how many people are working toward the resolution. I think it is a movement of growing momentum - especially for people who are willing to take personal responsibility.

A remarkable journey into every drop of water,

This review is from: The Secret Life of Water (Hardcover)
Masaru Emoto takes the reader on a fascinating exploration into water in its infinitely varied frozen crystaline forms. He demonstrates how water crystals, from their beautifully symetrical to awkwardly disturbing structures, are the byproduct of our glorious and chaotic world. You will also learn how Mr. Emoto and his scientists are able to manipulate and predict the ice crystal's form by subjecting droplets to both positive and negative stimuli. This book gives a whole new meaning to the ripple effect.

More than Water flows in this book,

Thought provoking and definitely outside of the box. This book isn't just about "water" but everything that we are: psychologically, socially, physically, spiritually and beyond. This books is another voice in the choir that sentience exists on all levels, and that respect and kindness (and conversely cruelty and disrespect) affects everything small and large, whether we can see it with our naked eyes or not.

A blend of science and spirituality,

A blend of science and spirituality marks Masaru Emoto's lovely THE SECRET LIFE OF WATER, which links the search for happiness and serenity with the life of water on this planet. From interviews with healers and shamans whose powers have changed the shape of water itself to photos of water crystals and cycles of water and life, it's hard to easily peg THE SECRET LIFE OF WATER - but it will often find its way onto the science shelf and from there into the welcoming hands of spiritual readers as well. A MOST IMPORTANT SECRET INDEED!,
By
This review is from: The Secret Life of Water (Hardcover)
I am such a fan of Dr. Emoto and his books!! Never could I have gained such a respect and appreciation for the healing power of water were it not for reading Dr. Emoto's books and actually getting to see the crystal formations he captured on film. I have learned to relate to water in ways I never dreamed possible, and I will respect this entity and NEVER take clean water for granted for the rest of my life. Thank you, Dr. Emoto!
