Once again,Catherine Alliott has given us another wonderful read.She has the ability to capture one's attention from the first chapter and continue to hold it until the last.
Evie Hamilton is a wonderfully warm character,so funny,that I have been reduced to tears from laughing at her escapades,and then aghast at the some of the problems that she has to face.Face them, she does ,and finds the generosity of spirit to accept the twists and turns that life throws at her. I have loved all of Catherine Alliott's work, and had this on pre-order for months.It was worth the wait...I just wish that I could have stayed awhile longer in her company.

I was given this as a chirstmas present. The first of Alliot and won't be my last. I found it hard to put down but at the same time didn't want to finish it too quickly. Alliot creates a very real and likable characters. Someone I have met in my life, a cousin,a neighbour, one could relate to them. I love the character Evie and very curious about Ludo (what a name). I wish there is a sequence to this title-a focus on Ludo's life. This is a light book with a lot of thought put into it.
