This set is very similar to the old Micro Machines, before Hasbro bought them and took the name in 1999. I think the quality and inventiveness took a dive after that. For a really cool base that it looks like this one is based on, look up Eagle Peak Arsenal or other Military Micro Machines, especially the Battle Zones.
