Great for Lessons About Rumors,

This review is from: The Secret Olivia Told Me (Hardcover)
I absolutely love this book! I have used this book to teach lessons about rumors and gossip 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. When I read this book to students, they are quick to point out how the red balloon in the background gets bigger and bigger. Great book to read to 2-5th graders to teach how harmful rumors, gossip, and secrets can be to friendships. I especially liked the picture of the red balloon which represented the secret. Kids will love this book. Great social story.

I bought this because I needed to teach my 5th graders about the importance of keeping a friend's secret. After I read it to them, I had them write a secret down on a small slip of paper and put it into my paper shredder.
