Earth Mysteries and Pagan Essential, November 12, 2001
This review is from: Secret Places of the Goddess: Contacting the Earth Spirit (Paperback)
This book has already touched and changed many lives. Witchcraft is a modern religion invented in England in the 1930's. As a faith it continues to evolve, ever more fantastic claims are being made about an unbroken line of belief going back to the dawn of creation.
This book puts the focus back where it belongs - the earth on which all life depends. From the earth the power comes and to the earth it must return. This book has a lot of ideas about how to find your own sacred places. Its based on personal experiences gathered by the author and those who shared their own with him.
Check out the report about Dingley Dell next to a city. This was my favourite but then I must admit to bias because its about I place I found. I wasn't able to put my thoughts and feelings about it down on paper. Philip listened, visited himself and managed to capture the essence of the spirit we found there and write it down for others to share. The peace and energy experienced with these particular trees makes all future trips on the pagan tourist route - Stonehenge, Avebury and Glastonbury something of an anti-climax.
This is just one of many wonderful places described in this title.
