This is a smashing little book! I picked it up, looking for a few little interesting tidbits to help me plan a surprise weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. The authors are clever, witty and know all the best little secrets. If you're looking for a great way to find those little known hideaway moments, this is it!

My niece gave me this book before I visited Providence. I had gone out there for her college graduation for a long weekend and got an abbreviated tour, but it only wet my appetite for more. Though probably not as extensive as I would have liked, this book was interesting and gave me more than enough to experience. Providence is a vibrant and diverse city with a colorful history and an excellent place to visit. This book most definitely provided a lot of information and offered some great suggestions for touring.

Purchased this as a gift for friends who are relocating to Providence. It's a little less detailed than I had expected, but they've said they've found the information useful. A little pricey for the size, amount of information, and general quality of this paperback.

I would have given this book five stars had it not been for the fact that several pages of the copy I recently purchased from Amazon are apparently so secret that they are blank. I can only conclude that this is a printing error since there are index entries that refer.
