5.0 out of 5 stars Secret Agent Reunion, February 9, 2008
This review is from: Secret Agent Reunion (Silhouette Romantic Suspense) (Mass Market Paperback)
Danielle Moore posed as Sparrow, a gorgeous, smart, fearless assassin.

She lost her family, her lover, and almost her life. Now she has

recovered from the injuries she sustained over a year ago. Fate and

her boss have decided it is time for her to prove herself healed. To

help her complete her assignment, her bosses give her a new partner.

Shockingly, her new partner is her supposedly dead lover, Mitch Lama.

Mitch Lama `died' in the arms of the Sparrow. It was when he found out

that his lover had not been as truthful as he had thought. Can he

forgive the woman he loves more than life itself? Or will the past

haunt Mitch forever?

They will work together to fight against a traitor in their ranks.

Will the lack of trust between them keep them apart? Even as Mitch and

Danielle fight the memories of the past with the memories of the pain

they both went through as well as their feelings,

From the first page, Secret Agent Reunion brings out in the reader the

hope of love found again. The reader wants to shake both Mitch and

Danielle and make them see that for two strong characters they can be

idiots. Secret Agent Reunion delights, frustrates and attracts the

reader's attention. Ms. Pineiro has written a novel that makes the

reader want to go out and buy the other books in the Mission:

Impassioned series.

The characters in Secret Agent Reunion are introduced in a previous

novel of Ms. Pineiro called More than a Mission. But Secret Agent

Reunion can be read as a standalone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring!, August 14, 2007
This review is from: Secret Agent Reunion (Silhouette Romantic Suspense) (Mass Market Paperback)
Danielle "Dani" Moore used to be an agent of S.I.S. (Secret Intelligence Service) She posed as the fearless assassin code-named the Sparrow. But then she let a mission get personal. Trying to find out who killed her parents long ago, Dani almost lost her own life, as well as her sister's. The S.I.S. tossed Dani aside. She would have died, but Corbett Lazlo, another former S.I.S. agent, stepped in and took responsibility for her medical treatment. Lazlo took Dani into his agency, the Lazlo Group. The Lazlo Group is a private agency known for handling the most discreet and sometimes dangerous missions. Once Dani is well enough, Lazlo introduces Dani to her new partner, Agent Mitch Lama. Mitch is Dani's former lover, but he had died in her arms long ago.

Mitch knew he loved Dani even back when they had been lovers. If only she had trusted him with the truth back then, things could have been fine now. Instead, the two must somehow put aside their personal feelings and suspicions and team up to find out who the killer within their ranks is.

**** This is an excellent addition to the Mission: Impassioned line from Silhouette Suspense. The S.I.S. is the British version of America's C.I.A. Though the setting for this story is in Europe, Mitch is American. This way the author, Caridad Piñeiro, was able to successfully blend together a story that will appeal to the American readers, as well as to the British. I recommend reading this story on a day that you need some something to lift up your spirits. This tale is very inspiring! ****

5.0 out of 5 stars entertaining Mission: Impassioned tale, August 13, 2007
This review is from: Secret Agent Reunion (Silhouette Romantic Suspense) (Mass Market Paperback)
Years ago British intelligence agent Danielle Moore blew her SIS cover as the assassin Sparrow when she met Mitch Lama, an agent with the Lazlo Group. They fell in love, but neither was forthcoming about their true past. However, Danielle's obsession with learning who killed her parents led to the death of a prince and almost that of herself and her twin Elizabeth; SIS fired her.

Dani has joined the privately operated Lazlo Group, but is shocked that Mitch is her partner as she thought he died when she held him in her arms while he was wounded. He does not trust her as she failed to tell him the truth, but to his chagrin he still desires her. In fact he knows that he loves her. However, his assignment comes before mending his broken heart as they must work together to uncover a rogue killer inside the Lazlo Group.

The sequel to MORE THAN A MISSION is a wonderful SECRET AGENT REUNION romantic thriller starring two lead characters who believe love is not enough as neither believes anything the other says. Readers will appreciate this fine tale while wondering how Caridad Pineiro will redeem her heroine (anti-heroine?), whose actions led to the death of the Prince of Silvershire in the first book. That conjecture is part of the fun of a terrific suspense tale that can stand alone, but to fully savor Dani's Mission: Impassioned, read her sister's saga first.
