As with all the re issued edition each volume is comprised of two books in the series cutting the e books down to 6 from the original 12 paper backs. Mainly the books are geared towards girls but an occasional boy may just take a chance on them. Each book is filled with fun, family, friends and most of all a Christian attitude. The chapters are short as not to get boring as a young girl reads.

As with the first two volumes we find Tess having decisions to make and finding trouble along the way.

Book 4 Double Dare Tess is upset as her birthday is coming up and she was suppose to have a sleep over with several girls, but they have all canceled even down o her secret sister Erin. But her mother and father had a better idea for her birthday that would probably be a lot more fun--bowling! And yes it was a surprise fun. As Tess gets over her birthday she has come up with an idea. She is going to enter gymnastics. Everybody else is so good at everything but Tess is --- well just Tess. What is she good at? She soon learns though if she gets on the team she has to give up a lot. Horseback riding with Erin is one thing but the disappointment she see's in her father's eyes because she is too tired to hike leaves her wondering which should she give up .As she prays will she make the right decision?

Book 5 War Paint it is once again decision time for Tess. Every 4 years the 6th graders get to paint a mural on the cafeteria wall. As teams are picked at voted on from each 6th grad class. Erin and Tess and picked two other friends to go in with them. This year is different. They are also going to pick and Mr.

My daughter is 11 years old. She loves to read Secret Sisters. She says that it always gets you at the end and that it's not fair. She can hardly wait for the next book.
I like how the stories relate to her age and the meaning that Sandra Byrd gives through the stories. I don't agree with the bible verses though. I believe that the King James Bible is the one and only bible. No matter how old or young you are.
