A different perspective,
By
This review is from: The Secret of Successful Failing (Hardcover)
Sorry to rain on the parade but, after buying the book due in no small part to the glowing reviews here, I need to offer quite a different perspective. This is not a particularly well written book, possibly because it became one of the authors endless projects which resulted in a hotchpotch of ideas - albeit some novel and useful - poorly strung together. After struggling through chapter after chapter which alternatively irritated (goal babies for God's sake)and inspired me (her excellent interpretation for example of the Law of Allowing), my overall impression is that I've ended up with two different types of jigsaw pieces trying to make one puzzle. Somehow it just doesn't come together with any kind of coherence at all. There appears to be two strains of thought that, at best, seem to be uncomfortable bedfellows. Despite, the authors exhortation to BE - DO - HAVE, the emphasis appears loaded on the DO side of the equation rather than the BE side. I can understand why so many people would like this book and I'd advise anyone who does choose to purchase it to focus on what resonates with them and leave much of the rest. You might get "spiritual indigestion" as the great Lester Levenson would say.

I've read many books on positive thinking and the law of attraction and this one stands out as a clear and concise guidebook to actually living these theories. The message In The Secret of Successful Failing is so clear and written in a way that's fun and easy-to-digest. When the going gets tough, pick this book up and get going again.

Failures are incredibly cool!,

This review is from: The Secret of Successful Failing (Hardcover)
This book is like a toolbox for life! Failures really DO show you the road map you need to take - they are not a roadblock, they are a road sign. Gina wrote an easy-to-read, complete and inspiring book about the importance of learning from failures and merely treating them as feedback - not a reason to quit. I think this should be a required textbook for every graduating high school Senior and a gift for every person who starts a new job or begins a new business. Failures must occur in order for Success to be experienced. Great book!-Paula Dirkes, Speaker, Trainer and Business Owner
